Youth

Our youth group just returned from a great weekend in Virginia Beach! 57 adults and kids made the 8 hour trip on March 5th through 7th to join with 800 other youth to celebrate God's amazing love for us!. The theme for the weekend was Do, Love, Walk from Micah 6:8. The Lord requires from each of us to DO justly, to LOVE mercy and to WALK humbly with our God. We listened to Dan Scharnhorst share his experiences as a Youth Minister of a church in Wisconsin; we also enjoyed the music of 100 White Flags and Captive Free. BUT MORE IMPORTANT THAN ANY SPEAKER OR MUSICIAN was spending time together.... we grew closer to each other and renewed our relationship with Christ. Even the long (very long) bus ride gave us an opportunity to witness to each other and just hang out with others that share our faith. It was so awesome that 10 young adults actually came back from college or took off from work to spend the weekend with the 35 kids from our youth group!!! Thank you to the 12 adults who chaperoned the weekend. Thank you also to the congregation for supporting our youth in all we do! The Senior Youth Group meets on the second Sunday of each month at 10am in our new Youth Room. Anyone in grades 8th to 12th is welcome!!!!
